Applying holes for Condensation Evaporation. I used a soldering iron to melt holes into top of plastic lens. I hang my strobes upside down, so the holes are at the bottom.
They worked great I had no problems during 2007 display.
Wire Tree's "small Mini tree's"
I used 1/4" round rod 10' long. I then cut three smaller piece's of 5' off of these. I built a triangle base at 24'' each piece. welded them, added the 5' up right piece's, after they were welded I made a small 9" triangle piece slipped it over the top to add support to the 5' up right piece's and welded them. I then painted everything black.
My wire tree's have 300 mini's on each tree. I hope to expand them to 500 mini's per tree in 08
we will see how much power I have after everything else I'm adding this year.
North Pole's Project
North pole's are nothing new to a lot of you. I did change the way the Pole's
will mount to the ground or should I say "Set-up".
I didn't like the way the rebar was hanging out of the bottom
of the Pole's. So I changed this, as you well see.
This makes it a little nicer for storage also.
3" black PVC, For what ever reason
Nobody carry's white 3" PVC in
Southern Oregon.
Emt just big enough so 1/2" rebar
will slide in with very little play
in pipe.
Painted 3" PVC, cut down to 39 1/2" peices
1/2" gray pvc elec. conduit. cut to 39"
I taped it inside 3" PVC so it wouldn't
move while I sprayed foam Insulation in pipe.
I inserted 1/2" emt and than sprayed foam insulation
at both ends. foam will expanded and hold all piping
in place.
To center the 1/2" emt I used cardboard cut to shape of pipe
cut a cross in middle of cardboard pushed pipe through
and taped in place while foam dry's.
Bottom taped Note: the bottom is set inside
of the pipe so it is flush with ground.
Secure tops with cardboard and tape
and let dry for a day.
Drill a hole big enough for power
cord. make sure you drill through 1/2" gray pvc
this were cord goes through to top.
I used a old C9 cord set and cut off each socket as needed
for the pole's.You can see I left about 1 1/2" on one
side to tape to the 1/2" emt pipe.
Power cord cut off female end. I used 6' cords here.
Insert cord until it comes out the top.
Attach C9 socket to power cord.
Tape it to the top of the 1/2" emt pipe.
I used Red duck tape for the strips
Here is a look at pole's before the globes go on.
Finished Pole's with the golbes. I used 6" golbes
